More info on the way, but ...

I have about a gabillion pictures and too much video, but I am having trouble logging in to either flickr of facebook to post - anyone aver been to those sites in France?

I will post much more this evening.

I have used Facebook in France without a problem. I have never tried Flickr while in France.

Thursday August 11

Travel from Milwaukee to Heathrow

Friday August 12

Imperial War Musuem in London, train to Portsmouth, England, visit the D-Day Museum and Royal Marines Museum (possibly)

Saturday August 13

Ferry across the English Channel to Ouistreham, visit the Atlantic Wall Museum; Train to Caen, visit Caen Memorial Museum, drive to Bayeux

Sunday August 14

From Bayeux – visit Ste. Mere Eglise and Airborne Museum, Utah Beach location and museum, Carentan, Pointe du Hoc location and monument, Omaha Beach, and American Cemetery

Monday August 15

Visit Arromanches and Arromanches 360 museum, Sword, Juno, and Gold Beaches, return to Caen, travel to Paris

Tuesday August 16

Take WWII tour or Paris, Liberation Museum, Paris War Museum

Wednesday August 17

Travel from Paris to Milwaukee

Located in New Orleans due to the contribution of Andrew Higgins and his amphibious boats, the museum is currently undergoing a major expansion and is a must see for all visitors to the Crescent City!

D-Day - From the US Army, this site contains photos from the front, maps, invasion descriptions, and news articles related to the invasion.

American Experience - D-Day - This companion site to the PBS episode on Overlord has a transcript of the show, accompanied by special features (letters from the front, GI stories, paratrooper information).
